Taking a look at this past year, Blo Blow Dry Bar has grown in monumental ways from 37 signed agreements and top-performing all-stars to systemic improvements. As the $39.5 billion a year industry continues to expand, North America’s original blow dry bar franchise will continue to hit record growth numbers and add passionate franchisees to our system.
We now have more than 140 locations open and in development across the United States and Canada, keeping us on track to hit 300 – 500 locations open within the next three to five years. Our proven business model helps set up new and existing franchisees for the highest level of success so that we can deliver catwalk quality blow outs to every Guest, every visit.
Building Our Roster, Adding Strong Franchisees to the System
Each of our 37 signed agreements in 2021 has a motivated new franchisee behind it. Along with exceeding our development goal, we hit a record with our largest multi-unit agreement to bring six units to Jacksonville, FL. A few months later, this was topped by a husband-wife duo who signed on for seven units in Houston, TX.
We were also able to enter new markets this year, rolling out the pink carpet to more Guests nationwide. Very soon we will open our first locations in Indiana and Washington, and we’re excited to be adding strong franchisees to our well styled machine.
High-Performing All-Stars who Put Guests First
Part of the great success our blow dry bar has witnessed this year was a direct result of our entrepreneurial-minded and dedicated franchisees. We firmly believe in each of our franchisees and consider them to be all-stars in their own right. One, in particular, is multi-unit franchisee Kari Valcich who brought a high-end collaboration to the table with luxe brand, Saks Fifth Avenue.
Our company attracts people from all different backgrounds and walks of life. Terry Michaud retired as a nurse in the military and then joined Blo. When COVID-19 pushed back her opening, she integrated a specific UV light that helps kill airborne bacteria and viruses. Now that she is open and operating, Terry hosts member events and sponsors local businesses within her community.
Always on the Cusp of Innovation
We are constantly working toward further innovation and staying on top of industry trends. Last August, we released a new look book to combine all hair and makeup looks in one place. This showcases our iconic styles on diverse hair types, skin tones and face shapes to represent all who make up our community.
The corporate team prioritizes and inspires a collaborative environment between themselves and franchisees. Ideas are always welcomed and encouraged and may even become part of our best practices. Through carefully structured strategies, we can meet customer demands and deliver on industry trends.
The Time is Now
Blo Blow Dry Bar is at the intersection of beauty and wellness – both of which have continued to be a priority in the post-pandemic era. Despite a global pandemic, business has been booming, as there’s been a resurgence in events and weddings.
Our corporate team continues to add updated technology to streamline all systems and operations so our Guests will always experience safe, world-class service. Combined, these all fuel the prime time for interested franchisees to join our growing community.
