Hands-On Training for Head-Turning Results
A beauty background is not required to be a franchise owner as our training and onboarding cover all bases from real estate to blowouts and everything in between. From the moment you sign a franchise agreement, our franchise support team will guide you through onboarding to ensure you have a grand opening that blows people away!
To begin the onboarding process, our franchisees go through an immersive virtual training session. During this training, you’ll learn all about how to be a successful Blo Blow Dry Bar franchisee, covering things like operations, business management, marketing and more. From there, our franchise support team will support franchisees with:
- Financing
While financing your blow-dry bar can seem intimidating at first, we take the hassle and worry out of the equation. While we don’t offer financing directly, our franchise development team — along with our current network of franchisees around the globe — is well-equipped to provide you with guidance, tips and best practices. As a franchisee, you’ll have access to our engaged community who is always willing to help and provide guidance.
- Real Estate & Lease Negotiations
Finding the best location to open a blow dry bar is no easy task. Thankfully, our team is fully equipped to help you source the perfect location based on demographics, neighboring businesses and other important criteria. Our real estate team utilizes a software program that provides data and market statistics to help guide you in the right direction. Additionally, our community of franchisees has experienced lease negotiations in various markets and can provide further real estate guidance as needed.
- Build-out Management
Once your lease is signed, you can rest assured that we’ll give you the necessary guidance to ensure your bar is beautifully designed and built to specifications at the lowest possible cost. As you go through onboarding, we’ll regularly check in on the build-out and construction of your blow dry bar franchise. We’ll ensure operations are ongoing, your salon and business licenses are underway and any other legalities or details needed to operate in your market are completed.
- Pre-Opening Training
Our pre-opening training, or Countdown to Blow Off, as we like to call it, is a 12-week training program that will get you into gear for opening day. During these 12 weeks, we’ll revisit all of the former training materials and curriculum covered to ensure you’re an expert at all things Blo. We’ll conduct one-on-one hour-long calls each week over Zoom, where we’ll give you homework or action items to complete, such as reading materials, online courses and more. As you complete the weekly assignments, our marketing and operations teams can measure your progress and provide extra assistance and direction where needed.
- On-the-Ground Training
After the Countdown to Blow Off, we’re ready for the grand opening! But worry not, our team will be with you from start to finish. Ahead of your opening, two of our corporate team members, a Corporate Educator and the Franchise Operations Manager, will join you onsite for two days. Our Corporate Educator will run Blo University to train your stylists, and the Franchise Operations Manager will oversee employee training and conduct soft opens and closes with your team. During these two days, our team is available to answer any questions, review any processes and help you perfect your processes and procedures.
Support That’s Always In Style
The best part about being a Blo Blow Dry Bar franchisee is that support is offered to you before and after your blow dry bar franchise opens. The tools and resources we provide to our franchisees are always accessible to help you wow your customers every season.
Following the grand opening, our franchisees can expect to meet with our support team every week for the next two-to-three months to check-in and get extra support as needed. After three months, the weekly calls will switch to biweekly calls where our franchisees will set goals and plan monthly, quarterly and yearly objectives with the corporate team.
